Hi, I’m Tracy Hunter, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) with specialized training in addiction and addictive behaviors. My passion is helping clients uncover and process the underlying issues or traumas that contribute to negative patterns, guiding them toward healing and personal growth.
I provide counseling for individuals, couples, and adolescents (13+), offering support for a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, sexuality and sexual health, and more. My specialties include addiction, anxiety, depression, and sex therapy. Additionally, I have extensive experience working with individuals in alternative lifestyles, including ethical non-monogamy, polyamory, and related communities.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in recognizing each person’s individuality. I strive to create a calm, supportive, and understanding space where clients can reduce negative emotions and move toward a more fulfilling life.
I earned my Master of Arts from Louisiana Tech University in 2010 and have worked in diverse settings, including outpatient clinics, local mental health authorities, county jails, and managed care organizations.
Outside of work, I’m happily married to my high school sweetheart and share my home with Sammie, our lovable dog, and Alan, our snack-loving yet independent cat. In my free time, I enjoy yoga, hiking, reading, traveling, and surrounding myself with people who fill my emotional bucket.
